Andalucía comienza el proceso de resintonización de los canales TDT para permitir el despliegue de redes 5G

La Junta garantizará la recepción de los canales de ámbito estatal en 73 áreas geográficas sin cobertura de los centros oficiales.

Andalucía ha comenzado el proceso denominado ´Segundo Dividendo Digital´ con el cambio de frecuencias de la televisión digital terrestre (TDT) en 24 municipios de la zona sur de la provincia de Huelva. Se trata de una actuación liderada por el Ministerio de Economía y Empresa, a través del Plan Técnico Nacional (aprobado en el Real Decreto 391/2019), por el cual, durante los próximos meses, se debe liberar la banda de 700 MHz del espectro radioeléctrico para permitir el despliegue de futuras redes de telecomunicaciones 5G. Este proceso, que se realizará de manera escalonada por áreas geográficas, responde a un mandato europeo que indica que esta banda, parcialmente ocupada por la TDT, debe estar plenamente disponible antes del 30 de junio de 2020.

El cambio de frecuencias no afectará por igual a todos los edificios. En concreto, deberán realizar adaptaciones los edificios comunitarios de tamaño mediano o grande que estén equipados con sistemas monocanales o centralitas programables. Las viviendas individuales no necesitarán hacer esta adaptación.

Para minimizar los costes derivados de la recepción o acceso a servicios de comunicación audiovisual televisiva en los edificios afectados, el Consejo de Ministros aprobó mediante Real Decreto el pasado 21 de junio la concesión directa de subvenciones que serán gestionadas por la empresa pública Red.es.

No obstante, independientemente del tipo de equipos de recepción de señal de los edificios, todos los televisores deberán ser resintonizados si se quiere acceder y seguir disfrutando de la oferta completa de canales de la TDT. Para minimizar el impacto de esta actuación, las cadenas de televisión emitirán simultáneamente a través de las nuevas y las antiguas frecuencias durante seis meses. Se prevé que la siguiente oleada de ´encendidos´, prevista para el mes de septiembre, afectará a municipios de la provincia de Almería.  

 Toda la información, así como las consultas sobre este proceso, son gestionadas a través de la página web http://www.televisiondigital.es/, y en los teléfonos 901 20 10 04 y 954 30 65 01. A partir del 2 de agosto, este último será sustituido por la línea de atención telefónica 910 889 879.

Adicionalmente a las actuaciones planificadas por el Ministerio de Economía y Empresa, la Consejería de Economía, Conocimiento, Empresas y Universidad ha puesto en marcha otras actuaciones complementarias para facilitar este proceso de transición. Por una parte, realizará las adaptaciones técnicas necesarias para garantizar la continuidad de la recepción de los canales de televisión digital de ámbito estatal en las 73 áreas geográficas andaluzas donde no llega la cobertura de los centros oficiales.

Por otra parte, la Consejería prestará asesoramiento técnico a través de ‘Consulta Teleco’ a las Administraciones locales de Andalucía que prestan servicio de televisión digital terrestre en zonas donde no llega la cobertura de los centros oficiales. Con este servicio se atenderán aquellas cuestiones que precisen para las actuaciones que tengan que realizar en su centro para adaptarse a las nuevas frecuencias.
